Now I can sit in my sweatshop-like office space with people chattering all day long, and audio distractions all around, with very minimal impact on my sanity. AND, I can leave them on my desk without worrying about them getting stolen (can't say that about Bose, no matter how nice they may be). :) Total cost: $16.50 (and two band-aids for 'mistakes').
